Engineers left a 33-centimeter service light in the wing of a Qantas Airbus A380. The ATSB disclosed that the jet flew for two days with the work light inside before anyone discovered it. The 33-centimeter light kept in the wing during those flights as the Qantas jet flew.
The Qantas Airbus A380 travelled to Texas and back while the work light remained inside the wing. Technicians left the lamp inside the aircraft wing during checks. The aircraft completed its flights to Texas and back over two days before someone spotted the work light in the wing.
