Members of Parliament have suggested replacing the BBC's fee structure. They propose cutting costs and expanding funding to cover areas beyond television. MPs also recommend abolishing the BBC's charter review and stopping the broadcaster from undercutting commercial rivals for overseas shows. The proposals aim to solve the BBC's funding issues as it faces a critical decision point. The recommendations come amid ongoing discussions about the broadcaster's long-term strategy.
