The AFL trade period has witnessed rival clubs refuse to budge on their demands, forcing Essendon to consider paying a overs to secure Brisbane defender Keidean Coleman. The player asked for a transfer to the Bombers after talks involving Mark McVeigh, but the Lions are staying strong on their valuation. Additionally, Brisbane completed a deadline day pick swap with GWS, and the trade window is set to close shortly.
