Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is drawing fresh attention as a new film, The Social Reckoning, puts her account before the public. Starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White, the film recreates her choice to reveal what the company knew internally.
Haugen spoke to journalists she has "extreme worry" about a shift in values at Meta and believes Zuckerberg is pushing recklessly forward with AI. She said she hopes the film moves others to come forward, telling The Verge she wants it to give others the courage to go public.
