An amateur skygazer using Google Maps located a big rounded depression in northern Quebec. Specialists from Quebec’s geological survey authenticated it is a colossal meteorite impact crater roughly 390 million years near Lake Mistassini. The ground formation closely matches other confirmed craters and signals a cataclysmic long-ago blow. Satellite images were compared in detail field data to substantiate the discovery.
