Macklin Celebrini returned to the lineup and found the back of the net in a close loss to the Edmonton Oilers. The rookie forward, after being out of action, appeared in the game with another youngster Will Smith, who also featured in the NHL. Despite the loss, the Sharks found a positive moment as Ivar Stenberg netted his first career NHL goal in a separate game against the Boston Bruins.
