Russia states that its two-seat Su-57 jet will operate using onboard combat AI. Russia named this new twin-seat model the Su-57D. Military leaders designed the aircraft to compete with Western fifth-generation fighters. However, the Russian fleet of Su-57 jets remains modest.

The disparity in stealth jets persists despite Russian plans to add combat AI capabilities to the Su-57D. Simple Flying and MiGFlug reported on the modest fleet numbers alongside the planned artificial intelligence features.
